Sorry for the late late post.

I'm usually someone who posts once a week eh? Oops. Well I'd been avoiding the internet til I finish Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which I did last night at 2200! w00t!!! Meeeeeep!! It was like reading a fanfic, I loved it! So Harry does die in the end, and Harry & Ginny get together *twinkles eyes* and of course Ron & Hermione! So Snape truly was in love with Lily but I didn't guess it would've been from childhood. So they killed off more characters than I thought they did. I was so damn looking forward to Tonks and Remus living happily ever after but NOOOOOOOOOO, Rowling killed off Tonks & Remus, why? Why?! Why?! NOOOOOOOO, and I loved reading their fanfic! So much more to talk about, must do face-to-face with another reader :D
HP & the OoTP ****
Not as dark as I expected, but still dark. We were on a double date with Shelley and Andrew so I kept punching Shelley at all the shippy moments. W00t for Ginny getting jealous and powerful Ginny! Kreacher is quite creepy, and Grimmauld Place is very much a Grim Old Place, so dark, so cold. I wanted to see the young Lily in Snape's worst memory scene, but alas, they must've cut it out. Must buy the dvd in that case. Considering it was the longest book, understandably stuff was cut out. I liked the kittens in the plates in Umbridge's office, anyone else got a sadistic shiver up their spine listening to the kittens meowing and stuck in the plates??
All in all recommended for non- and HP readers. :D

Knocked Up ***1/2
Bloody hilarious! Rude, shocking (well to me anyway), lotsa swearing, but sweet in some moments and actually a lot funnier than I thought it would be. Teaches one about one night stands but such a fairy tale in that everything gets sorted out in the end. Highly recommended for a relaxing movie!

Have to go to Borders to buy a birthday present now, will be having a birthday dinner tonight for one of the church gals. Currently don't feel like food at all, had a bacon & egg sandwich, a mocha, and half a gozleme at the Farmers' Market this morning (at frigging 0830) on a Saturday, I know oh so wrong, I wanna head to Parra before 1030 to buy the gift, I luuuuurve book discounts. Mmmm mmm.

Wedding bells sounding soon! There's an engagement at church, Dave & Jo are engaged and are wedding February 16th next year (coincidentally Phil and I's anniversary), of course I punched Dave in the arm for getting Feb 16th. Dave kept winking and doing the "eh eh *nudgenudge*" to Phil, "Hey I've got it all set up for you, a 5 course meal you don't have to do anything Phil" and "Hey, let's make it a double thing, you can get hitched too". Grrrrr... *barkbarkbark*

Sorry I won't be able to make it for the Kitchen Tea, by the time I get to Ashfield, it'll be 1700, stupid work. But I'll definitely be there for the Hen's night, I've already said to Phil I'm dropping him that night and joining you ladies instead ;)

Work's been going good, I'm enjoying Coronary Care, I'm considering coming back after my 3rd rotation, but that depends if I enjoy Cath Lab more... I do like weekend penalties and late shifts though. Yays for the 4% pay rise this month! Yays! A whole $2 per hour! That's like an extra $16 per day to have pts, pts' families, doctors, hospital staff and lives in our hands! We sooo don't get paid enough, then the taxes... crap, gotta do my tax returns *sigh* I know for a fact I won't be sending any daughters of mine to PLC. Night shift this week, pray I don't kill anyone or let anyone die please :(
Okay gotta go and update this blog. Cheerios and see you ladies soon!

Recent purchases:
- HP & DH
- 2 x 3/4 arm tops
- 1 black dress/pinafore (well not really)
- dark pink cardigan

Belated post

Photos are up from the Swissotel High Tea buffet. Thank you ladies for coming I had a wonderful time and thank you for the gifts, you guys know me too well, keeheeheehee.

So I got: 500 cupcakes, Boston Legal season 2, Kaffeehaus, MB Venezuelan dark chocolat, and a Borders voucher, yays!!! Mmmmm... I will be making something out of either 500 cupcakes or Kaffeehaus next time I have 3 days off :D :D

So afterwards, Alex & Leach went home via the QVB, and I bought some more C&E Day cream (coz I have 4 days worth of cream left), and a stop off at Kinokuniya. Where Cat of course bought some books with her vouchers (see sidebar), and myself as well. So I sat down at the cafe and ordered a peppermint tea and had a read through while waiting for Phil to arrive. :D

We decided to walk around a bit before sitting down for dinner, and we meandered over to Kent Street, and I volunteered La Guillotine. Mmmm... French food.
Escargots for the both of us, I had Phil eat escargots!! And garlic bread to dip into the melty buttery garlicky goodness. He ordered Fish of the day, grilled John Dory with salad and pommes frites, and I ordered the Moules Marinieres with pommes frites. And a lemon squash for him and a flat white for me. :D I only took 2 snaps, both of Phil eating snails(better not expose my photo taking meal habits just yet eh?
And for dessert, I got a passionfruit gelati for Phil and headed on back to my house.

Work's been very busy and so has organising this week, I've had dinner at Phil'son Monday, and I cooked for the boys on Tuesday night (my specialty Spiced coucous, Moroccan lamb, onion gravy, snap peas, carrots, cinnamon & brown sugar sweet potato).
So I better finish this post and get ready for work, I have 1 hour to get dinner ready and eat. Cheerio!

Recent purchases:
- Spice notes & recipes by Ian Hemphill
- Homage to Eros: 100 great poems of love & lust, selected by Dannie Abse. OK I know it sounds dodgy but I chose it coz there's little biographies of each poet so it shows a bit of the background and context of the poem.

A pleasant surprise for my birthday...

Well I worked in the am and rushed home, took a shower and chose what to wear. Meanwhile I was extremely tired with very sore feet. I was half-determined to say to Phil "No. Feet sore. Not going out. Dammit." But alas, I dried my tear-filled eyes, rubbed my face, elevated my screamingly-painful feet, changed the pair of shoes I was gonna wear to some flats and took a one hour nap. Woke up refreshed (with less sore feet) by Phil's call and decided, 'Okay, he's put a lotta effort into this, must not be grumpy.' So he came by and picked me up and off we headed. Just in case you're wondering, no blindfolds nor handcuffs, fluffy or cold hard steel were used in tonight's production.
So he opened the door for me and he drove us down the Hume towards Chullora, past Chullora, towards Strathfield, past Strathfield, towards Burwood, past Burwood and turned left at Malvern Ave. Parked near the gaol and walked towards, yes I almost couldn't believe it myself, Hotel Saravana Bhavan. He took me for INDIAN food for my birthday! I love him so much!
So for his first go at Indian, we got (I chose):
- onion pakoras (served with tomato sauce) - I had to get him something with tomato sauce, I'm not that cruel
- half a Tandoori chicken served with mint chutney - which was too spicy for him!!
- Vegetable kurma - mmmm...
- Butter chicken
- steamed basmati rice for two and a tandoori roti
He got a coke and I got a masala tea. Mmmmmm...
Quite amusing watching him try the Indian food, I think this may be a one off but I loved it nevertheless. :D
So then we drove to Burwood looking for gelati, the cafes that were open don't serve gelati, only ice cream, so we stopped by in a convienence store and grabbed a small gelativo passionfruit tub. So I opened my presents in the car while he gobbled the gelati down: among other things, I got a nurse's watch. Yays!!

So we drove back to my house, and hung around til morning. :D *lovestruck*

Okay, I'll stop making you all puke.

Thank you for the birthday greetings everyone! Thank you Kat, I didn't get to reply to you coz I didn't get to read MMSs til just half an hour ago. Looking forward to seeing you guys on Saturday! Cheerio!
