My brother and my parents pissing me off. Particularly about my job choices and twisting it around to racial issues.

11. IF YOU COULD PLAY ANY INSTRUMENT, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
None, why play when you can dance instead? Probably uillean pipes or harp.

Eeeep eeeep eeeeep, ok well it wasn't that bad...

I NEED A HUG!! ;(

Well, I had my interview today. Nervous as hell but hopefully I didn't show too much of it. I know one of the nurses who interviewed me though. Phil my old youth leader, although I'm worried I could have answered questions much more thoroughly *someone stop me nitpicking*. Ah well, done now and I can't change it. Also mentioned I'm gonna do Honours *points points points* Eeeep eeeeep eeeeeep. Hopefully nepotism got me in, well I know it's morally wrong coz I knew an interviewer but there wasn't anything I could do about it. At all. I swears m' I swears.

Well I have an extension for my 40% assessment which was due on Friday, which is now due on the same day as 2 other assessments (Tues 4th) Honestly stupid idiots, how the hell can we do 3 assessments and hand them all in before 1300. Pricks.

I can't believe people don't know the song, well yea I can kinda. It's Early one morning. People definitely would have heard the chorus before. I'll link to the midi file.

Had my dinner at around 1530 today, half a leb chicken, leb bread and garlic sauce. Mmmmmm... you definitely have to try this sauce, it is absolutely delicious *drools* Still gotta have some soup that my auntie made today. Minestrone I think.

Oh yes, Angi, could you tell me the amount of material I need to buy for you to make me a cloak? That is metres of velvet and metres of ropey material? Also, would you be able to do it over your break coz I can buy the material tomorrow at Bankstown and send it right over to Liyfield or Orchard Hills, whichever addy. Pretty pretty pretty please. RSVP asap. Let's see I'm *cough* 156cm so the cloak would be ay long?

Current mood: warmish even though I'm in a towel with wet hair

Al's 21st was good

Had a good time, including taking advantage of the tab. Although, there's no harm in trying to ask for cocktails, I think this was the order of them not-having-any/not-on-the-tab: cocktails-n/a, Baileys-n/a, rum and coke-wrong rum, Stella Artois-n/a, bourbon and coke-finally yes you can have one. And Cat got asked for ID, hehehe, but why don't I ever get asked anymore?? Don't I look young enough??? True, I do look around 22, 23 in uniform but come on, I don't look that old???

Dress surpringly untight, or maybe I didn't notice it for most of the night. But everyone looked good Friday night. Thank you letting me crash at Lilyfield, Lilyfielders.

It was very nice seeing Sylvia, Merry and Cat's dad today (yesterday). Hope all goes well for them in theur study, and Sylvie would be able to get some done in Canberra :) Say 'hi' to Jeremy and your mum for me, eh Cat? Yea, what do I call your mum and dad, by names or by Mr. & Mrs. Croaker, or Dr. & Dr. Croaker??

Oh yes, and everyone, Ang & Tim are the sweetest and "Oooh-Oooh look at them dancing" couple. It's so enjoyable to watch a good friend and her beau have fun dancing. Such a rare thing to see a guy dance well and have fun *sigh* *dreams of finding a dancing beau in the future* :D :D

So, found out that Alex is lurker, stop lurking woman and post, post, post I tell you. Addictiveness is a risk to be taken, it takes a few years to overcome though, that is I haven't posted on specifically Stargate forums for awhile now. ;)

Busiest week of the year when SydneyUni people on on hols:
Monday: New Grad interview at 1300 at Liverpool *eep eep eep*
Tuesday: Given 40% assessment at 1800-2000 at uni, don't get home til 2030
Thursday: Research Colloquium for Honours at Rosehill at 0830 til past 1700
Friday: 40% assessment due
And of course, doing another 2 assessments simultaneously, you suck third year, you suck!

*achem*

And for graphicness just for Viv... ;P

Current mood: tired but reading fanfic so slightly up
Current bowel motions: could always be better ;p
Current noise in background: toilet leaking *should call plumber*. Had Engima in the bgd but turned it off coz temptation to dance increased exponentially.

I couldn't stop myself

hehehehe, I love embarassing Treees. If you haven't seen it yet, please make your way over to Spampage. ;P
I swear, it twas a spur of the moment thing. ;)

So far, clinical's good, the nurses are very friendly at Btown Community and I've been finishing early so that's a plus. I've also got an inservice on Thursday at Braeside Hospital, on bereavement, as you know I need to learn how to deal with it tactfully. ANG/CAT: hopefully I finish early, possibly after 1530, but it's more than likely they'll let me off early. Anyways, I'll call/sms in the morning or early afternoon if you really do need to pick me up. Otherwise assume you don't need to.

In other news, I bought a dress to wear to Al's. Problem though, my black strapless bra is in Lilyfield. Darn it, and I've only got my B cup strapless at home which I haven't chucked yet. In other unwanted news, my mum's a B cup! No way! I always thought she was a C cup, now I'm bigger than my mum, but that's only coz I'm a bigger size than her ;) That's quite depressing actually.
Anyways, now I suspect the top part of the dress is too tight, coz there's too much squeezing lungs to breathe thing. And it looks like I'm wearing a flattener instead *rolls eyes*. And I HAVE to wear a bra with it too *sigh*

So, what happened so far this week:
- my brother got a ticket on Monday because we turned off the Hume Hwy into some street when we weren't supposed to. The bleedin' copper, first thing he said to us was "Do you speak English?", I looked at him like he was daft. He then repeated that question another 3 times where I replied each and every time, "Yes we do speak English thank you" in a very annoyed tone. Then my brother gave him attitude and then we got the ticket. I swear, apparently you're not supposed to turn right into that street between 0730 and 0900. Oh come on, it was 0855 on my watch, and he rang the siren straight after we turned in, the prick was parked around the corner waiting. I really don't like coppers.
- I got the Rick Stein cookbooks via courier on Monday. That was a plus.
- Ate some Crunch today, like 6 little whaddayacallem? squares, though they're really rectangles.
- bought a new bag for $10: I needed a new black one coz my other bags aren't big enough to carry day stuff.

QUICK: Year 12 Graduation gifts, what would you get a female, 18 year old, christian, not many known interests. Buble tix are out of the question since HSC is round the corner. What did you guys get for graduation? I got a musical snowglobe (American relos *cough*), 2 Swarovski fish necklace, trip to Britain... tad too expensive, shared between at least 3 people, at least one person extraordinarily broke.

Mmm... coconut juice so good

Song twas Songbird by Eva Cassidy. Yes pretty ambiguous song really.

Yes chocolate twas good. Karen, Angi, Tim and Cat had a great wild goose chase around DJ before actually finding Max Brenner near the books and perfume section. Mexican spicy chocolate is very yummy, also had a Belgian waffle with strawberries, banana and chocolate sauce. Mmmm... Then we went touring around DJ foodhall, ooh the antipasti bar looks goooood. However tad too expensive so we went to The G Spot as introduced by Kat. Had a fisherman's basket and orange and carrot juice, mmm... and Karen had a Chix tortilla wrap?

Just went over to Lilyfield yesterday to drop off clothes and presents for Al's on Friday. That's about as close as cocktail dress as I'm gonna get. I'll have to bring over jewellery and makeup and such on Friday. And if ze wonderful, splendiferous Angi picks me up from Btown on Friday, you don't have to pay me for the present??? *huggles*

Just finished watching Ray with my brother. I wanna go dancing now! Good movie, recommended for anyone who loves R&B and Ray Charles music.

I bought Rick Stein's Main Courses and Starters the day before last on ABC Shop. Saves me $10 if I shop online. Yea! Man, I'm just all talking about food don't I?

Oh yea... Sunday is the celebration for Autumn Moon Festival, we bought some barramundi and lobster for dinner. I gotta figure out how to have the lobster. Maybe with some butter, salt and black pepper. We bought it cooked already coz it's too much hassle sticking a pair of chopsticks up the...
And then of course there's the mooncakes... mmm... oh and we have a ton of strawberries as well that we bought at the seafood markets yesterday, 3 punnets for $5 and they're sweet as well. Gotta wash them after I wash the dishes.

So I've got clinical next week at Bankstown Community Health. I have to remember how to do a PR examination, good Lord... I really don't wanna do something PR without proper gloves and washsink. But the nurses sound nice enough (through a phone call) let's see what they're like next week.

Yay for chocolate!!

Well anyone reading this before 1230 on Wednesday, feel free to join us at the QVB for lunch and chocolate at DJ's. Preferably people or animals we know please. Although stalkers are welcome to stalk, as long as you pay for lunch too. And the chocolate.

Eep, I spent the afternoon chargrilling zucchini and eggplant. Got the kitchen filled with smoke. And now I smell slightly of antipasti, which really isn't all that bad. Someone remind me to buy a pastry brush with real bristles, not the dodgy plastic type. Got slightly singed on the chargrill pan. Seriously considering buying a George Foreman grill (knocks out fat!). Not that I'd use it save for chargrilling vegies, fish, chicken, steak... hmm...

New Kate Rusby album out in the UK, The Girl Who Couldn't Fly. Gonna buy it on ebay, considerably cheaper even with the postage and handling.

Had dinner at Titanic Restaurant in Btown on Monday. Great woodfire oven pizzas, surprisingly good. Must pull you guys out this way if I can. And a great place for coffee and Leb desserts. You can also smoke argilas aka hooka (tradititonal Arab pipe, many different flavours like apple, mixed berries, orange, although the most interesting sounding in the Titanic Special) although it has been linked with a higher risk of diabetes.
So anyone wanna have a Alice in Wonderland party there and someone can be the Caterpillar smoking a hooka??

Spiced couscous

Mid term break

Tsk tsk, very bad, I finally put a musical song in and nobody could get it. It was: Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, the song Close every door to me.

I really haven't had a good week this time. Haven't had a good night's rest either anytime this week. Luckily I've got midterm break next week. Anyone wanna go for chocolate at Manly?

It twas 33 degrees today round midday. I went and bought a milk bar burger for lunch, mmm... with the lot. Beef pattie, tomato, lettuce, onion, bacon, egg, beetroot and bbq sauce. Then went and got some coconut juice and a 6pack of Coronas. And some Turkish bread. Mmmm... toasted Turkish bread, roast chicken and sundried tomatoes, or roast chicken and hummus, or hummus and chargrilled eggplant and sundried tomatoes and chargrilled zucchini. Mmmm... I'm going food shopping on Monday then. I think I'll have a toasted Turkish bread with sundried tomatoes, roast chicken and hummus. Mmm... yum.

So has anyone seen CATCF yet? I think I'll see it on dvd if I don't see it next week. Hmm... any other movies out?

Greek Treasures wasn't bad at all.

Although I'd rather go over there and see more, more more! *sigh* around the same time as everyone else having lotsa money so we can get over there.

Well, it twas good, met Cat yesterday, went and got Angi's bday prez, went to Y2K, Cat got a scrumptious looking Berry parfait, I got a sweetened condensed milk Taiwanese toast and hot Yin yeung with pearl sago. Mmmm... Then we went to see the Greek Treasures and stared longingly at the jewellery, skyphoi and amphorae. And we reminisiced on the keyboard which we couldn't work out how to play, but played Teddy Bears' Picnic, and got Frere Jacque in our heads. Had a run through the space shuttle where Cat shot into space. Put our hands on the giant plasma ball, got horribly reminded of school chemistry and ran along home.

Stargate wasn't on this week, and I had my computer on for nothing. But my FF withdrawal has been cured with a steady inflow of FF. Phew! Thought I was gonna drop dead last week. You know, all I do online now is email, emailcash, ebay, blogging and fanfic. I'm sure I used to do more than that. But then again FF does take up a bitta time.

Clinical next week, Liverpool Mental Health unit, oi vey, this is gonna be interesting and quite boring I suspect. And Cityrail's changing their timetables again, let's see how they're gonna screw me over this time.

Current mood: amused
Concurrent window: n/a
Current craving: still full from lunch, a coconut juice and a milk bar burger with the lot. Mmm...
Current song in head: Alouette, gentil alouette, alouette, je te ploumerais
